Take a tour along Pierce Ferry Road, the main artery through Dolan Springs, Meadview and onto Lake Mead. Pierce Ferry Rd (aka County 25) is located off Arizona State Highway 93 at mile marker 42. The turnoff is 30 miles north of Kingman, AZ and 42 miles south of Hoover Dam. Along Pierce Ferry Road you will see low desert area consisting of sage brush, creosole bushes, cacti and the Cerbat Mountains. Once you get to the elevation of 3400 feet you will begin to see Joshua Trees, Yuccas, Prickley Pear cactus, barrel cactus and others. The mountain ranges are in close view and can be seen at every horizon. Pierce Ferry Road is a 48 mile drive once leaving Highway 93 It will end at South Cove launch ramp and picnic area on Lake Mead.

You will see this billboard on Highway 93 where you are to turn onto Pierce Ferry Road. From the turnoff it is a 38-48 mile drive on Pierce Ferry Road to Lake Mead, depending if you go to Gregg's Hideout or South Cove Launch ramp.

The Cerbat Mountain range runs from Chloride to Dolan Springs. Mt Tipton is the highest peak with an elevation over 6000'. On occasions snow can be seen on top of this peak. The Cerbat Mountains are covered with Pinon Pine Trees.

The local post office is the first building you will see on the right side when you enter the downtown area. It is about 5 miles off of Highway 93. Mail is delivered to the post office in the mornings and picked up around 3:00 to take back to Kingman. Mail is also delivered to mail boxes along the Pierce Ferry Road.

The Chamber of Commerce is located at the end of town. It is about a 1/2 mile span from one end of town to the other. There is also a library, food store, a few restaurants, VFW, bank, hair saloon, variety store and fire department.

Mt Tipton School is located at the turn in the road just below Mt Tipton. The children attend 4 days a week 8:00 to 4:00. Friday there is no school. It consists of grades Kindergarten through 12th. There are about 300 students that attend. Those in highschool have the choice to ride the bus into Kingman 5 days a week or go right in Dolan Springs 4 days a week.
