This is the view at Mile post 16. There won't be any homes until you go about 6 more miles. This is all government land in between.

The Stockton Hill Road will take you the back way into Kingman. It is about 15 miles of dirt and most of the time is pretty rugged.

To go to the Grand Canyon west you will go East at Mile post 29. This is the thickest, densest Joshua Forest in the area. They are massive reaching 20 feet high. The road to the GCW is 16 miles of dirt and then 5 miles paved once you hit the Hualapai Indian Reservation. There is a fee charged per person to see the Grand Canyon West.

At Mile post 30 you will see the sign for Lake Mead City. It is a one mile square subdivision with enormous size Joshua trees. The water is hauled, delivered or you can drill a well. Great views of the Grand Wash Cliffs.
